I am meditating on one of Work on Purpose’s What it Takes qualities today: Unleash Yourself.
I mean that literally. I am meditating on it. I am going to a Sit/Still in a Brooklyn apartment that advertises itself as “an hour of silence followed by a circle of sharing & vegetarian dinner in the company of whoever walks through the unlocked front door.” We’ll see what happens!
Wow! Please let us know what it was like – sounds fascinating.
What?! What is this place? I want to experience this.
is this the birju/ nipun mehta/ charity focus circle? they are awesome!
@nidhic @jayg @liza They are held weekly around New York City homes and the world! You can read more about it here – http://www.ijourney.org/med/
@linda kay klein Sounds amazing! We’d all love the update :–)
It was amazing! I even reached some clarity on what “unleash yourself” could mean for me (though more from talking with folks over dinner afterward than from the meditation itself.) The woman who owns the apartment in which the event was hosted has decided to open it up to all kinds of creative experiments, such as cooking classes and a story-telling session later this month on another What it Takes attribute: failure. Likely going for a walk in one of my favorite parks in New York City: Fort Tryon Park.
Make a dentist appointment and do my taxes.
reality..
I am going to write a list of my favorite activities, long-term goals and memorable moments (and why it was so important). By the next leap year, it could be fun to see how I have evolved as a person and share a laugh or two looking back at the past four years.
I like this idea!
Interesting question. Just came across Leapyear Project, which asks a similar question.

After work I plan to take a drizzly walk through a park and then prepare a feast.
